About the Wine
Unshackled is The Prisoner's line of wines built for everyday enjoyment. The 2023 red blend draws fruit from across California's coastal and interior appellations, blended for ripeness and softness rather than structure.
About The Prisoner Wine Company
Founded in Napa Valley in 2000 with a genre-defying label wine, The Prisoner Wine Company helped redefine what a California red blend could be. Now part of a larger portfolio, its wines remain among the most recognized in the country.
The American Vine's Take
Not a wine for purists, but a crowd-pleaser with real polish — the kind of bottle to bring to a dinner where nobody wants to think too hard. Me and my wife enjoyed this. A better pick than the Cab.
